Sometimes, people leave negative impressions with the people they talk to.
Leon helps people learn how to interact with people so that positive impressions are left and remembered. Largely, it involves developing empathic nonverbal communication abilities.
Evidence: One psychologist and his colleagues observed a large number of people and documented their behavior during one-to-one conversations. They analyzed massive amounts of information and concluded: about 7% of the communicating was delivered by the words that were spoken.
Fully 93% of the communicating was delivered by nonverbal communications—facial expressions, gestures, stance, and…tone of voice.
The ability to communicate well nonverbally can help people be successful in social relationships, job interviews, and almost any situation where communicating effectively with one or more other people would bring advantages.
